Deradune
Deradune was a zone I inherited from a previous artist. They had already done a large portion of terrain sculpting and propping and some color painting when I took over. My largest contributions to Deradune were the color and texture painting I did throughout the entire zone, the small prop polish pass throughout some areas of the zone, creating and implementing clutter (small 3D ground detail like flowers, thorny brambles, and rocks that were painted down along with the terrain texture), and a couple of new areas to help support new content that was added to the zone later in development. Color painting in Deradune was special because it included a lot of repeating patterns and distinct shapes that made attention to detail very important. |
